What Are Chakras, and Why Do They Matter in Therapy?
Chakras are energy centers in the body that correspond to physical, emotional, and psychological states. While rooted in Eastern healing traditions, they can offer powerful insight in modern therapy—especially when integrated with somatic approaches like EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
When we experience trauma, especially around sexuality, desire, or relationships, these energy centers can become blocked or overwhelmed, leading to symptoms like:
